Born and raised in the deepest south of Italy, Marcello grew up musically with punk & hard rock listenings when he was a teenager, but at some point he got fascinated by the sound of nyc no wave bands like Esg and Liquid Liquid and afterwards he discovered the avant-garde sound of Steve Reich, Krautrock, Miles Davis’s jazz fusion, funk and soul…
In the year 2000 he started making music experimenting with guitar and computers and creating some interesting electro-acoustic production. This was the first step for him to get into electronics and house music listenings: discovering the roots of club music with such artists like Theo Parrish , Matthew Herbert, Chez Damier, Ron Trent, DJ Pierre, and then becoming attracted by the appeal of new and vintage electronic instruments, synths and drum machines, he initiated is busy activity as an house music producer. Marcello early works have been released first on the italian net-label called Radiance Records and after on the most respected Chicago’s Unified Records.
Marcello’s carrier changed definitely after he sent some demos to Jamal Moss and he got signed for Mathematics Records: the first release on the Chicago label, “Prescription of Love ep”, have been internationally acclaimed by some of the biggest djs of the techno house scene such as Ricardo Villalobos and Panorama bar’s residents Tama Sumo and Prosumer, which gave him the chance to show his ability behind the decks at the prestigious Berlin’s club in early 2009.
Following his american releases, Marcello dropped some serious stuff on many other well known european labels like Yore, Quintessential and Laid 2010 has seen him again releasing on Mathematics the excellent double 12″ “This Movement must be the Moment” , his first ep on Amsterdam’s Rush Hour and finally getting part of the Bosconi family with a great split ep with IFM.
