After a very promising debut almost an year ago with their “Super Quartet EP”, Nas1 are back on Bosconi Extra Virgin with another 6 tracker of modern detroit influenced house called “Habana Village”. The mini album starts with the wobbling shuffles of 2 bass heavy cuts, the robotic melancholy of “Head On” and the funkier-ecstatic “Bravo Café”, while on the closing cut of A side appears the stomping garage beat of “La Tosse”. The talented duo from Bologna then shows its great technical skills within creating unique grooves: nastier vibes those look like coming from a dirty and dark basement open B side with the dusty, dubby and whirling jam of “Rabbit Backbone”, while with the following “Seemed” track they keep the mood in the same hypno-delic direction just making everything sweeter and smoother in order to end in a proper way this vinyl with the soulful and joyful downbeat of “Seduta”. Italian dOCG modern soul!
